13-Using the tuner
Chromatic tuner mode (AUTO)
This is the default mode. Watch the tuning meter on the unit's
screen as you tune your instrument. "

1. Input the signal of the instrument that you want to
tune.The name of the closest pitch appears in the
upper part of the meter.
2. Tune the instrument until the desired pitch is shown
and the center of the meter is highlighted.
A bar appears to the left if the tuning is too low and a bar
appears to the right if it is too high. The longer the bar is
the more out of tune the instrument is.

Oscillator mode
The built-in oscillator can output a tone for tuning through
the /LINE OUT jack. The tuning pitch can be set in a three-
octave range (C3–B5). "

In addition to the "
" item described above, the oscillator
CALIB
mode has the three other setting items that follow. Press the
TUNER button to cycle through the setting items.
OSC NOTE
Set the pitch of the tuning tone (C3–B5).
OSC LEVEL
Set the output level of the tone between 0 and 10 (default
value 7).
