Connecting to a
monitor
Connect the camcorder to your monitor to watch
the playback picture on the monitor screen.
There are some ways to connect the camcorder to
your monitor. When monitoring the playback
picture by connecting the camcorder to your
monitor, we recommend you to use the hous
current for the power source.
Connecting directly to a
monitor with Video/Audio
input jack
Open the jack cover. With using the supplied
A/V connecting cable, connect the camcorder to
the LINE IN inputs on the monitor or VCR
connected the monitor. When connecting to the
VCR, set the input selector on the VCR to LINE.
Procedure to play back is the same as when
playing back on the LCD screen or in the
viewfinder.
Turn down the volume of the camcorder.
To get higher quality pictures in DV format,
connect the camcorder to your monitor using the
S video connecting cable.
If you are going to connect the camcorder using
the supplied S video connecting cable [a], you do
not need to connect the yellow (video) plug of
the A/V connecting cable [b].
If your monitor or VCR is a monaural type
Connect the yellow plug of the A/V connecting
cable for video to the monitor or VCR. Connect
only the white or red plug for audio to the
monitor or VCR. If you connect the white plug,
the sound is L (left) signal. If you connect the red
plug, the sound is R (right) signal.

Raccordement à un
moniteur
Pour regarder vos vidéogrammes vous pouvez
aussi raccorder le camescope à un moniteur.
Il existe plusieurs méthodes de raccordement du
camescope à un moniteur. Lorsque vous
contrôlez l'image reproduite en raccordant le
camescope à un moniteur, nous vous
recommandons d'utiliser le secteur comme
source d'alimentation électrique.
Raccordement direct à un
moniteur avec prises d'entrée
audio/vidéo
Ouvrez le cache-prises et raccordez le camescope
aux entrées LINE IN du magnétoscope ou
moniteur avec le câble de liaison audio/vidéo
fourni. Quand vous reliez le camescope à un
magnétoscope, réglez le sélecteur d'entrée du
magnétoscope sur LINE.
La procédure de lecture est la même que pour la
lecture sur l'écran LCD ou dans le viseur. Baissez
le volume du camescope.
Pour obtenir des images d'une qualité supérieure
en format DV, raccordez le camescope au
moniteur à l'aide du câble S-Vidéo.
Si vous voulez raccorder le camescope à l'aide du
câble S-Vidéo fourni [a], vous n'avez pas besoin
de brancher la fiche jaune (vidéo) du câble de
liaison A/V [b].

Si votre magnétoscope ou moniteur est de
type monaural
Branchez la fiche jaune du câble de liaison
A/V pour le signal vidéo sur le magnétoscope ou
le moniteur. Branchez uniquement la fiche
blanche ou rouge pour le signal audio sur le
magnétoscope ou le moniteur. Si vous branchez
la fiche blanche, le son correspond au signal L
(gauche). Si vous branchez la fiche rouge, le son
correspond au signal R (droit).
