AUTOMATIC LIGHT*
AUTO
The auto light and rain sensor senses the ambient illumi-
nation intensity to determine the timing for turning the
headlamps and tail lamps on or off automatically when the
"AUTO"
light switch is set to
.
CAUTION
• Do not clean the area where the auto-light and rain sensor in
installed with detergent or wax.
• On a foggy, snowy, rainy, or cloudy day, be sure to use manual
mode. The turning on or off time of the lamps varies depending
on the climate, season, or circumstances.
• Any aftermarket tanning film or spray may cause the lighting sys-
tem to malfunction.
• Ssangyong recommends you to use this device restrictively
around only a sunrise or sunset.
• Usually turn the headlamps or tail lights on or off manually.
• Turn on the headlamps manually when passing through a dark
area such as a tunnel.
• On a gloomy day, do not rely on this automatic function. But turn
the head or tail lights on or off manually.
• When the switch is turned to the "AUTO" position, room, tail, and
head lights might blink for a very short time. It is a normal phe-
nomenon recognizing the automatic setting.

CAUTION
• Do not shake and impact the sensor. It may not work properly.
• The automatic light function may not operate properly when the
vehicle is driving on the rugged road due to the vibration.
