Refit the electrical connection cover
Fitting a 3-Wire Power Cord
WARNING:
The range is shipped with a 'grounding strap'
from the center Neutral connection to the
Ground connection.
The neutral or ground wire of the power cord
must be connected to the neutral terminal
located in the center of the connector block. The
power leads must be connected to the outside
terminals.
NOTE: Do not install the power cord without
a strain relief.
The range is shipped with reducer plates fitted
to the mounting bracket to give a 1
opening. For power cord connection remove the
two reducer plates (2 screws) to give a 1
opening.
Fit the strain relief device to the mounting
bracket by removing the two clamping screws,

4-Wire Conduit Installation

feeding the two halves (ears first) through the
hole in the mounting bracket and loosely refitting
the screws. Insert the power cord through the
strain relief device but do not tighten the device
yet. Connect the leads to the connector block.
Make sure the connections are tight. Now
tighten the stain relief device to clamp the power
cord.
Refit the electrical connection cover
The range is shipped with reducer plates fitted to
the mounting bracket to give a 1
opening for conduit connection.
Fix the conduit to the mounting bracket.
The range is shipped with a grounding jumper
from the center Neutral connection to the
Ground connection. For 4 wire connection this
lead must be removed and discarded before the
4 wire connection is made.
Connect the leads to the connector block as
shown in the picture. Make sure the connections
are tight.
Wire used, location and enclosure of splices,
etc., must conform to good wiring practices and
local codes.
