There are two types of beeps, differing in pitch. Warn-
ings have a higher pitch (Tone 2, represented below
as ) than the other beeps (Tone 1, represented below
as ). The following table shows which tone sounds
for which event.
Tone 1:
Turning on
Test area is advanced to the tip of
the cassette
Prompt to apply blood
Start of test
Announcement of the result
Tone 2: (warning)
Signal that results are about to be
announced
Announcement of an error
message
Notification that the batteries are
almost empty
Notification that the cassette is
empty
