MAINTENANCE
1. Make sure the ignition switch is " OFF". Remove the two
body panel screws 1 to access the battery cover .
2. Remove the battery cover screw 2, open the battery cover
3 to access the battery.

3. If you remove the battery for charging or replacement, dis-
connect the negative (-) terminal lead from the battery first,
then disconnect the positive (+) terminal lead.

4. If the battery voltage is below 12.4 VDC, charge the bat-
tery 4.

5. Use a charger 5 specifically designed for a maintenance-
free type battery . Using another type of battery charger
may damage the battery and prevent it from becoming
fully charged.
