Troubleshooting
Remedies for several possible problems are described below.
IP address faxing
Problem
Transmission is not
possible.
VarioLink 2221/2821/3621
Cause
The connections are incor-
rect.
Since the image data is too
large, a timeout occurred at
the receiving end.
The settings necessary for the
device are not registered.
The LAN cable is damaged.
IP has been limited with IP fil-
tering.
Other causes
Remedy
Check the LED indicator on the hub
and check the connections.
• Increase the timeout setting on the
receiving end.
• Decrease the size of the image data,
and then try transmitting again.
Specify the necessary network set-
tings.
Replace the LAN cable.
Check with the administrator of the
machine.
Check the list of transmissions in the
Job List screen for details of the trans-
mission error, and then refer to the ta-
ble of error codes.
