WLAN Service: Choose Disabled/Enable/TimeSlot from the drop-down list.
Mode: The default setting is 802.11b+g (Mixed mode). If you do not know or do not have both 11g
and 11b devices on your network, then keep the setting in mixed mode. From the drop-down
menu, you can select 802.11g if you have only 11g card. If you have only 11b card, then select
802.11b.
ESSID: The ESSID is a unique name of a wireless access point (AP) used to distinguish one from
another. For security purpose, change the default wlan-ap to a unique ID name that is already built
into the router wireless interface. It is case sensitive and must not exceed 32 characters. Make sure
your wireless clients have exactly the ESSID as the device in order to connect to your network.
Note: It is case sensitive and must not exceed 32 characters.
ESSID Broadcast: It is used to broadcast its ESSID on the network so that when a wireless client
searches for a network, the router can be discovered and recognized. Default setting is Enable.
Enable: When enabled, you allow anybody with a wireless client to be able to locate the
Access Point (AP) of your router.
