CONTROLS & FEATURES

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)

All receptacles on the generator are protected by a Ground Fault
Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) for protection against the shock hazard of
ground fault current. The GFCI has a TEST and RESET button and is
connected to the AC circuit breaker.
An example of ground-fault current is the current that would flow
through a person who is using an appliance with faulty insulation and,
at the same time, is in contact with an electrical ground such as a
plumbing fixture, wet floor, or earth.
The GFCI will not protect against short circuits or overloads. The AC
circuit breaker and AC circuit protector provide that protection (see
pages
13
and
14
).
