Removing Scanner Interface Cable
At some point you may have to replace the interface
cable with another cable.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the scanner interface cable
!
until the host computer/terminal is turned
off. Failure to do this could result in
damage to the scanner.
To remove the interface cable, follow these steps.
1. Turn power to computer/terminal off.
2. Disconnect optional power supply from AC
power source.
3. Disconnect scanner from wedge interface cable.
4. Insert a straightened paper clip into the cable
release hole as shown in Figure 4.3.
5. Press down firmly on the paper clip to release the
retainer and gently pull the connector out of the
scanner.
