Message playback
To play messages
If you have new messages, the system plays only
the new messages (oldest first). If there are no new
messages, the system plays all messages (oldest first).

If there are no messages, when you press
playback, the telephone announces, "You have no messages."
Information about messages
•
Before each message, the answering system announces the day and
time (day/time stamp) it was received. The message window displays the
message number currently playing.
•
After the last message, the answering system announces, "End of
messages."
If the date and time are not set (see Set date and time on page 16), SET
CLOCK flashes on the screen and before each message the answering
system announces "Time not set."
Options during message playback
To adjust the playback volume to a comfortable level (L1 through L9), press

VOLUME.

To skip to the next message, press

To go back to the previous message, press

After a power outage, once the phone regains power, the playback volume
automatically resets to L5.

If you have reached the highest or lowest setting when you press
VOLUME, the telephone beeps three times.
