IMPORTANT
The recommended transmission fluid must
be used to prevent damage to the gear-
box. Do not mix with any other transmis-
sion fluid. If the transmission is topped up
with a different fluid, contact a workshop
nearby for servicing. Volvo recommends
that you contact the nearest authorised
Volvo workshop.
NOTE
Under normal driving conditions the gear-
box oil does not need changing during its
service life. However, it may be necessary
under adverse driving conditions, see
page 292.
