4.1.3 Rewriting Flash ROM
Please do the following procedure to rewrite a program in a Flash ROM. Send the program from
the host, and turn off the powe after confirming the ALM LED turns off completely.
※This is only applicable for Serial interface.
1) Switch operation when rewriting the firmware program
Head up lever: Head up
Feed switch: ON (press)
Entry swich: OFF
Turn the power on, the ALM LED start flashing slowly, then release the feed switch.
2) Switch operation when rewriting boot program
Head up lever: Head up
Feed switch: ON (press)
Entry swich: ON (press)
Turn the power on, the ALM LED start flashing fast, then release the feed and enrty switch.
4.1.4 Setting of Memory switch
For setting or changing Memory switch, first load a roll of paper, then follow the below
procedure for mode setting (1) and switch setting (2).
After completion of the settings, it automatically operate software reset. Please confirm the
setting result by self print.
1）Mode setting
Platen: Close
Feed switch: ON (press)
Entry swich: ON (press)
Turn the power on, initialize the print mechanism, then release the Feed and Entry switch.
It print "** MEMORY SW SETTING MODE **". This is the setting mode.
2）Memory switch setting
Setting starts from Memory switch S1-1 to S1-8, and from S2-1 to S2-8.
After change to the SETTING MODE, the LED start flashing.
・It print the switch number you are setting.
・Press Feed switch, the memory switch setting will be OFF.
・Press Entry switch, the memory switch setting will be ON.
Please continue such setting 16 times to complete all the settings.
※ All setting will not be effective If you turn off the power during the setting.
