CHAPTER 5: CONFIGURING THE SOFTWARE

7.
Make a backup copy of the original D20 device configuration:
7.1.
Click the Project: TEST_PROJ tab.
7.2.
Click the D20 device.
7.3.
Click the ribbon Configure group > Edit > Copy.
7.4.
Click a blank area on the page onto which the copy is to be placed.
7.5.
Click the ribbon Configure group > Edit > Paste.
Result: The Copying device window appears.
Result: Once completed a new device named COPY_OF_<original device
name> appears.
8.
Apply the new (SAN0001) firmware to the Project:
8.1.
Click the Project: TEST_PROJ tab.
8.2.
Click the D20 device.
8.3.
Click the ribbon Configure group > Edit > Properties.
Result: A Warning prompts you to save an internal backup copy.
8.4.
Click: Yes to create a backup, or No to not create a backup.
Result: The D20 Device Wizard Basic Settings window appears.
8.5.
Click Next >.
Result: The D20 Device Wizard - Define the LAN properties for this project
window appears.
8.6.
Click Next >.
Result: The D20 Device Wizard - Define hardware and other properties window
appears.
8.7.
Select: Processor tab > Firmware tab.
8.8.
From the Firmware Type click Select.
Result: The Select a Firmware Type window appears with SAN0001 and
previous firmware on the device shown.
8.9.
Click SAN0001.
8.10. Click OK.
Result: The Select a Firmware Type window closes.
8.11. Click Next > on the D20 Device Wizard - Define hardware and other properties
for this device window.
Result: Applications are updated and SAN0001 firmware is applied.
8.12. Click Finish.
9.
Review Warnings
9.1.
Select the Project: TEST_PROJ tab
9.2.
Click the D20 device.
Click the ribbon Configure group > Draw > select Output Window. 
9.3.
Result: The Device Log window appears.
9.4.
Review all warnings and make corrections as needed, reviewing the backup
copy to retrieve values that may have been replaced with default values during
the upgrade.
10. Generate Project,
10.1. Select the Project: TEST_PROJ tab.
10.2. Click: the D20 device.
10.3. Click the ribbon Configure group > Generate.
10.4. Confirm that there are zero errors in the Device Log; any Warnings are
acceptable.
