Sliding/ Tilt sunroof w ith glass moonroof

Automatic
Press the sw itch past the resistance
point and then release it.
Other automatic operations are:
> With the sunroof open, press the
sw itch briefly tow ard "Lift:" the
sunroof automatically extends to its
fully raised position.
Pressing the sw itch again briefly stops
the motion.
> With the sunroof raised, hold the
control sw itch tow ard "Open" until
the roof has reached the desired
position.
Safety feature
If the sliding/tilt sunroof encounters
resistance at a point roughly past the
m iddle of its travel w hen it is closing,
the closing cycle is interrupted and the
sliding/tilt sunroof w ill open again
slightly.

Despite this safety feature, be
extrem ely careful that the closing
path of the sunroof is not obstructed
w henever it is closed. Otherw ise, trig-
gering the closing- force lim itation m ay
not be ensured in som e situations (w ith
very thin objects, for instance). You can
disable this safety feature by pressing
the sw itch beyond the pressure point
and holding it.<
Pow er loss or malfunction
After interruptions in the electrical
supply (w hen the battery is discon-
nected, for instance), the sunroof m ay
only lift. To reinitialize the m echanism :
1 Raise the sliding/ tilt sunroof fully.
2 Press and hold the sw itch for approx.
tw enty seconds.
In the event of an electrical m alfunction,
you can also operate the sliding/ tilt
sunroof m anually. Refer to page 188.
