The engine uses lead- free gasoline
only.
Required fuel:
> Prem ium Unleaded Gasoline,
m in. 91 AKI.
AKI = Anti Knock Index
Do not use leaded fuels. The use
of leaded fuels w ill cause perm a-
nent dam age to the system's oxygen
sensor and the catalytic

You w ill find tire inflation pressures on
the inside door pillar.
Check tire pressures
All pressure specifications are indicated
in psi (kilopascal) for tires at am bient
tem perature (refer also to the next
page).
Check tire inflation pressures
regularly — at least every tw o
w eeks and before beginning a longer
trip. Incorrect tire pressure can other-
w ise lead to tire dam age and accidents.
Check the tire inflation pressure of the
spare w heel. Inflate the spare tire to
the highest inflation of any tire on your
vehicle.<
Comply w ith tire approval
specifications
The inflation pressures in the table
apply to tires from BM W- approved
m anufacturers. Your BM W center is
fam iliar w ith these pressures. Higher
pressures m ay be specified for tires
from other m anufacturers. You w ill find
a list of approved tires beginning on
p age 150.
Your vehicle is equipped w ith tires that
not only m eet US standards, but also
European standards. We recom m end
the exclusive use of BM W- approved
tires.
