Temperature
Passengers in the rear seating area can
adjust their ow n temperature for the air
outlets:
> Turn tow ard blue – colder.
> Turn tow ard red – w arm er.
When you start the vehicle, this system
ensures that the selected temperature
is achieved as quickly as possible. It
then m aintains this tem perature,
regardless of the season.
A tem perature adjustment is only
possible w hen the blow er is
sw itched on (not in the "0"

M icrofilter, activated- charcoal
filter
The microfilter rem oves dust and pollen
from the incoming air. The activated-
charcoal filter provides additional
protection by filtering gaseous pollut-
ants from the outside air. Your BM W
center replaces this com bined filter as a
standard part of your scheduled m ain-
tenance. A substantial reduction in air
flow indicates that the filter m ust be
replaced before norm al m aintenance.

Front
The seat cushion and backrest can be
heated w hen the ignition key is in posi-
tion 2.
You can call up different heating m odes
by repeatedly pressing the buttons.
When the three indicator lam ps are illu-
m inated, the highest heating m ode is
activated. One lam p indicates the
low est heating m ode. The tem perature
is regulated w ith a therm ostat in each
m ode.
You can also sw itch the higher heating
m odes off directly:
Press the button and hold it slightly
longer.
