Window care
You can use w indow and glass cleaner
to clean inside w indow surfaces and
m irrors w ithout sm earing and streaking.
Never use polishing pastes or abrasive
(quartz) cleansers on m irror lenses.
Clean the w iper blades w ith soapy
w ater. The w iper blades should be
replaced tw ice a year, before and after
the cold season.
Use only w iper blades that have
been approved by BM
Caring for other vehicle
components and materials
Light- alloy w heels should be treated
w ith alloy w heel cleaner, especially
during the w inter m onths. How ever, do
not use aggressive products containing
acids, strong alkalis or abrasives. Do
not use steam cleaners operating at
tem peratures above +140 7 (+60 6).
Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
If your vehicle has chrom e parts
as w indow m oldings, door handles or
W.< other item s, clean these parts carefully
w ith ample clean w ater, especially if
they have an accum ulation of road salt.
Use chrome polish as an additional
treatm ent.
Plastic com ponents, vinyl upholstery,
headliners, lamp lenses, the clear cover
of the instrum ent cluster and com po-
nents w ith a sprayed dull black surface
can be cleaned w ith w ater (add plastic
cleaner as required). Do not allow m ois-
ture to soak through the seats or head-
liner. Never use solvents such as
lacquer thinner, heavy- duty grease
rem over, fuels, etc.
Rubber com ponents should be cleaned
w ith w ater only; a rubber treatm ent or
silicone spray m ay also be applied.
The safety belts should be cleaned w ith
a m ild soap and w ater solution w ithout
being rem oved from the vehicle. Never
attem pt chem ical or dry cleaning, as
dam age to the belt fabric could result.
After cleaning, never allow the inertia
reel to retract the belts until they are

such com pletely dry. Dirty safety belts
prevent the inertia reel m echanism from
retracting the strap properly, and thus
constitute a safety hazard.
Heavily soiled floor carpets and m ats
can be cleaned w ith an interior cleaner.
The floor m ats can be rem oved from
the vehicle for cleaning.
Please use only a dam p cloth to clean
w ooden fascia panels and com ponents.
Follow up by drying w ith a soft cloth.
