Clearing the channel keys
Read and comply w ith the safety
precautions on page 115.<
The m em ory of individual channel keys
cannot be deleted. How ever, the three
channel keys can be cleared together
as follow s:
> Press and hold both outside keys of
the BM W Universal Transmitter until
the indicator lamp flashes, and then
release them.
All of the channel keys are cleared.

Do not use this BM W Universal Trans-
mitter w ith any garage door opener that
lacks safety "stop" and "reverse"
features as required by federal safety
standards (this includes any garage
door opener m odel m anufactured
before April 1, 1982).
This device com plies w ith Section 15 of
the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to
the follow ing tw o conditions: as defined
in the regulations, this device m ust not
emit harm ful interference, and m ust be
shielded against interference from
external sources to prevent unautho-
rized or inadvertent activation.
Glove compartment
To open
Pull the handle and the lam p com es on.
To close
Fold the cover up.
To lock
Use one of the m aster keys. A m aster
key is also required for unlocking.
If you turn over only your door and
ignition key for valet parking (refer
to page 34), for exam ple, access to the
glove com partm ent is not possible.<
