Closing the Base Unit

CAUTION
After servicing or upgrading the system, always replace the covers that were removed. The covers
ensure the system maintains proper air flow, so internal components do not overheat and fail. The
covers also ensure that electromagnetic interference (EMI) emissions remain below the standard
requirements.
CAUTION
Ensure the board ejectors are closed before retracting the base unit into the rack.
To close the base unit:
1.
Remove the antistatic wrist strap from the base unit.
2.
Replace the top covers. Secure the front top cover with the flat-head screws.
3.
Press the buttons on the rails and push the base unit into the rack.
4.
Secure the back top cover with the hex head screws.
5.
Secure the base unit with screws at each corner.
