Intense 3D Pro 2200 infuses Intel Pentium , Pentium Pro, and Pentium II computers running the Microsoft Windows NT operating system with workstation-class 3D graphics features and performance.

    Preparing for Installation Follow these instructions to prepare your computer for Intense 3D Pro 2200. Make Sure Your Computer Is Ready Make sure your IBM PC-compatible computer has the following: A Pentium, Pentium Pro, or Pentium II processor. A high-resolution multi-sync analog RGB monitor. Windows NT 4.0 operating system.

    2200 hardware in its original packaging to obtain warranty service. Make a Copy of the Video Display Driver Diskette Make a copy of the diskette containing the Intense 3D Pro 2200 video display driver as a precaution. Should anything happen to the copy, you will still have the original diskette.

    Installing the Hardware Refer to your computer’s documentation for instructions on opening and closing the computer, identifying PCI expansion slots, disabling on-board graphics acceleration, and adding expansion boards. Add Texture Memory If you want to add texture memory to a Graphics Accelerator, do so before you install the board in the computer.

    Start the Installation To start the installation: 1. Turn off power to the computer and to the monitor. 2. Open the computer to gain access to the PCI expansion slots. 3. If your computer has an installed graphics accelerator, remove it. If your computer has a graphics accelerator integrated onto the system board, disable it.

    5. Click Have Disk. The Install From Disk dialog displays. 6. Type the driver path name (for example, a:\ ), and then click OK. 7. Verify that the Intergraph Intense 3D driver is highlighted in the Change Display dialog, and then click OK.

    Activate Dual-Screen Behavior If your computer is configured for dual-screen display (with two Intense 3D Pro 2200 Graphics Accelerators installed), the video display driver treats the combined display area of the dual screens as a single canvas that covers both screens. In this Full Canvas style, windows centered on the canvas are split between the two screens.

    Warranty Service Contact the original place of purchase to get warranty service for your Intense 3D Pro 2200 board. If your warranty period has expired, you may still be eligible for warranty service from Intergraph. Refer to the warranty statement at the beginning of this document for details.

    12V 30 mA +5V 1.5 A +3.3V 5.5 A Monitor Resolutions Intense 3D Pro 2200 supports standard multi-sync monitors, including Intergraph 17-inch and 21-inch multi-sync monitors, at the following resolutions and maximum refresh rates (Hz). Note that i indicates an interlaced frequency.

    76 (20), 72i (20), 74 (27), 70i (27) VGA Support The Intense 3D Pro 2200 Graphics Accelerator provides onboard VGA video display support. The maximum resolution supported is 800 x 600, 4 bits per pixel, at 60 Hz vertical refresh.
  • Page 23 Interfaces The Intense 3D Pro 2200 Graphics Accelerator has three interfaces: a video output port, a VGA input port, and a stereo sync output port. Video Output The video output port is a blue, female, 15-pin, D-Sub connector.
