The CA ARCserve Backup Agent for VMware uses a count-based licensing
method. You must register one CA ARCserve Backup Agent for VMware license
for each ESX Server system that is running in your VMware environment. The
licenses for the agent are registered on the CA ARCserve Backup Primary
Server or Stand-alone Server.
Example: Licensing
Your environment consists of three ESX Server systems and you want to
protect the VMs in the ESX Server systems using the backup proxy
mechanism.
You must register three CA ARCserve Backup Agent for VMware licenses on
the CA ARCserve Backup Primary Server or Stand-alone Server.
