Place theeyeboltandhandle knobontheupperhandle asshown in Figure 6.
Donotfullytightenthe hardware until instructed todo so.

FuelRecommendations
Operatingthe enginewith EISor E8S fuel, an oil/gasoline mixture, dirty
gasoline,or gasoline over 30 days old withoutfuel stabilizing additive
may result in damageto your engine'scarburetor.Subsequent d amage
wouldnot be coveredunderthe manufacturer'swarranty.
Use automotive gasoline (unleaded or low leaded to minimizecombustion chamber
deposits) w ith aminimumof 87octane.Gasoline with upto 10%ethanol ( EIO)
or 15%MTBE (Methyl T ertiaryButylEther) canbe used. N ever u seanoil/gasoline
mixtureor dirty gasoline. A voidgetting dirt, dust,or waterinthe fueltank.DO
NOT use E15 or E85 gasoline.
Refuel i nawell-ventilated areawith the enginestopped. D onot smoke or
allowflamesor sparksinthe areawherethe engineisrefueled or where
gasoline isstored.
Donot overfill the fueltank.Afterrefueling,makesurethe tankcapisclosed
properlyandsecurely.
Becareful n otto spillfuelwhenrefueling. S pilled fuel orfuelvapormayignite.
Ifanyfuelisspilled, m akesurethe area isdry before startingthe engine.
Avoidrepeatedor prolonged contactwith skinor breathingofvapor.
Adding Fuel

Use extreme carewhen handlinggasoline.Gasoline i sextremely
flammable andthe vapors areexplosive.Neverfuel the machineindoors or
while the engine ishotor running.Extinguish c igarettes, cigars,pipes and
other sourcesof ignition.
Alwayskeephandsandfeet clearof equipment movingparts. Donotusea
pressurizedstarting fluid. Vaporsareflammable.
Remove t he gascap,check the fuel levelandaddfuel if necessary. Fillthe
tank until the fuel reaches 1 /2" belowthe bottomof thefiller necktoallow
forfuel expansion. B ecareful n ot to overfill.

Slowlypullthe recoil s tarterhandleuptowardsthe eyebolt.

Slipthe recoil s tarterropeinto the eyebolt from the backside of the snow
thrower.SeeFigure 6.

Securely tightenthe eyebolt andhandle knob.
