ChokeControl
Thekeyisasafetydevice.It mustbefully insertedinorderfor
the engineto start. Remove t he keywhenthe snowthroweris
not in use.
NOTE: Donot turn the keyinan attempttostart the engine.Doing somay
cause it to break.
Activating thechokecontrol c loses thechokeplateoncarburetor a ndaidsinstarting
engine. T he chokeleverslides between the RUN 1_ IandCHOKE _
positions.
Primer
Pressing t he primer, m akingsureto coverthe ventholewhen
pushing, f orces fuel directlyinto the engine's carburetor t o aidin
cold-weather s tarting.
RecoilStarter Handle
Therecoil s tarterhandleisusedto startthe engine.
GasCap
Remove t he gascapto addfuel.
Muffler
Auger
Whenengaged, t he augerrotationdrawssnowinto the augerhousingandthrows
it out the discharge chute.Rubber p addles on the augeralsoaidin propelling the
snowthrowerastheycomeincontactwiththe pavement.
AugerControl
Located on the upperhandle, t he augercontrol h andleis used to engage and
disengage driveto the auger. S queeze t he controlhandleagainst t he upperhandle
to engage the auger; r elease it to disengage.
Chute Assembly
Rotate thedischarge c hutetothe left or rightusing the control h andle. T he pitchof
the discharge c hutecontrols theangleatwhichthe snow isthrown.Loosen t he wing
knobonthe side of thedischarge c hutebefore pivotingthe discharge c huteupward or
downward. R etighten t he knoboncethe desired position hasbeen achieved.
Engine exhaust e xitsthe engineviathe muffler.
