  • Page 3 The system control program (BIOS) in some computers doesn't support the higher speed of the Pentium OverDrive processor with MMX technology. You must update an incompatible BIOS before installing the processor. Failure to update your incompatible BIOS will cause your computer to lock up after installation.

Before handling the Pentium OverDrive processor with MMX technology, be sure to ground yourself by touching the metal on your computer. Avoid getting thermal grease residue on your hands or the computer when you remove the heat sink from the processor.
