Administrator's Guide for SIP-T2xP IP Phones
Sometimes, configuration errors may lead to your phone's failure. You can export
configuration files to view the current configuration of the IP phone and troubleshoot as
necessary.
To export configuration files via web user interface:
1.
Click on Upgrade->Advanced.
2.
Click Export to open the file download window, and then save the file to your local
system.
This section describes solutions to some most common problems that may occur while
using the IP phone.
Do one of the following:
Check that the power LED is on to ensure the phone is powered on.
Ensure the phone is properly plugged into a functional AC outlet.
Ensure that the phone isn't plugged into a plug controlled by a switch that is off.
If the phone is plugged into a power strip, try plugging it directly into a wall outlet
instead.
If your phone is powered from PoE, ensure you use a PoE compliant switch or hub.
Do one of the following:
Ensure that the Ethernet cable is plugged into the Internet port on the phone and
the Ethernet cable is not loose.
Ensure the Ethernet cable is not damaged.
Ensure the IP address and other network parameters are set correctly.
Ensure that the switch or hub in your network is operational.
