     Power over Ethernet (PoE)  Note PoE is not applicable to the SIP-T22 IP phone. A power adapter should be purchased separately to power it on. AC Power To connect the AC power: Connect the DC plug on the power adapter to the DC5V port on the phone and connect the other end of the power adapter into an electrical power outlet.

    Getting Started To connect the PoE for the SIP-T22P IP phone: Connect the Ethernet cable between the Internet port on the phone and an available port on the in-line power switch/hub. Note If in-line power is provided, you don’t need to connect the phone to the power adapter. Make sure the switch/hub is PoE-compliant.

    Customizing Your Phone Select the desired language from the pull-down list of Language. Click Confirm to accept the change. Text displayed on the web user interface will change to the selected language. The time and date are displayed on the LCD screen when the phone is idle. You can configure the phone to obtain the time and date from the SNTP server automatically, or configure the time and date manually.

    Customizing Your Phone You can press the Volume key to adjust the ringer volume when the phone is idle. You can also press the Volume key to adjust the receiver volume of currently engaged audio device (handset, speakerphone or headset) when the phone is in use. To adjust the volume when the phone is idle: Press to adjust the ringer volume.

  • Page 39 Customizing Your Phone Click Upload to upload the file. Note All custom ring tone files must be within 100KB. Custom ring tones can be uploaded to your phone via web user interface only. The contact list displays all of your current contacts on the Microsoft Lync 2013. You can view contact information on the phone, but you cannot add or delete contacts on the phone.
  • Page 40 The contacts that meet search criteria will appear on the LCD screen. You can dial from the result list. You can enable the dial search delay feature on the SIP-T22(P) IP phone, which enables the IP phone to search for contacts after the designated time when in the dialing screen.

Call history lists support up to 100 entries. You can view the call history, place a call, or delete an entry from the call history list.

    Customizing Your Phone When E911 Location Tip feature is enabled, the location notification displayed on the phone depends on the configuration in Lync server. You can dial emergency numbers for assistance. Emergency numbers should be configured on Lync server in advance. You can dial an Emergency Dial String number or Emergency Dial String Mask number even if the phone is locked, and keypad is available during an emergency call.

    Delay time for dial-now rule is configurable via web user interface only. Note You can enable live dialpad on the SIP-T22(P) IP phone, which enables the IP phone to automatically dial out any entered phone numbers without pressing any other key. You can also configure a delay, where the phone will dial out the entered phone number automatically after the specified period of time.

    Troubleshooting This chapter provides general troubleshooting information to help you solve the problems you might encounter when using your SIP-T22(P) IP phone. If you require additional information or assistance with your new phone, contact your system administrator. Why is the phone LCD screen blank? Ensure that the phone is properly plugged into a functional AC outlet.
