Self-timer

Photographing a subject outside the auto focus area
1. Aim the AF area at the subject,
and then press the shutter but-
ton halfway to fix the focus and
exposure.
2. Hold the shutter button halfway
while moving the camera as
you compose the picture.
- Alternatively the AF/AE Lock button can be used to lock the focus and exposure.
To unlock, press AF/AE Lock button again. See also [AF/AE LOCK] on page 53.
- Retry the actions in step 1. until you are satisfied with the result, before pressing
the shutter button fully.
