For best results, remove food fiom packaging
and place on broil pan and grid. If fbod is lef*
in packaging, slit, pierce or vent to prevent heat
buildup.
Place food in the oven according to the
D@vstir_g"Guide.
You can use all cookware/conminers that are
oven sa% or microwave-safe. Arcing is the
microwave term for sparks in the oven. Be sure
there is at least 1 inch of space between metal
smfacesIpans, wall of cavity, almninmn fbil--
to prevent arcing. Dishes with metallic trim
should not be used as arcing may occur.
Remove metal twist ties from paper or plastic
bags before placing them in the oven.
Do not completely surround food with metal
and/or fbil.
Plastic storage containers should be uncovered
before deflosting.
Foods that spoil easily should not be allowed to
sit out for more than one hour after
deflosting.
Room temperature promotes the growth of
harmfifl bacteria.
Use caution when removing metal pans and
stoneware after deflosting. They may become
ve_y warm, and you m W need to use a potholder

separate and rearrange when prompted. Be
sure large meats are completely deflosted

When deflosted, food should be cool but
sof*ened in all areas. If still slightly icy, return
to the oven ve_T briefly, or let it stand a
few minutes.

Place fbod in oven.
Select FEATURE flom main menu.
Select DEFROST.
Enter the deflost time in hotu_ and/or
minutes. Reference the chart on the next page.
5 Select START.
