Setting voice guide type/frequency
The system allows you to choose the type or frequency of audible prompts you receive as you are
guided along your route.

Press the MENU button to display the
main menu bar. Select Setup and
press ENTER. The Setup menu
appears. Select Guidance and press
ENTER.

Highlight the Voice Guide selection
and press ENTER.

Two choices are displayed. Highlight
one and press ENTER.
A) When set to the Minimum mode,
the system will emit tones only when
approaching upcoming maneuvers.
B) When set to the Normal mode, the
system will emit tones and voice
instructions when approaching
upcoming maneuvers. Voice
instructions are announced 1/2 mile
before each maneuver on surface
streets and one mile before each
maneuver on freeways and
expressways.

Press the MP/RG button. The system
returns to the Detailed Map display.
Pressing the "VOICE" button on the remote control will give
the distance to the next maneuver or repeat the maneuver
regardless of the "Voice Guide" setting.
