1. Execute "CIS LED Level" test. (CIS LED Intensity Level: 255) (See 9.3.6.)
2. Connect and set an oscilloscope as follows.
Possible Cause
00 00 CIS (Back) does not work
properly.
CIS LED control circuit does not
work properly.

Check Point
1. Clean the CIS glass surface.
2. Execute Shading. (See 9.3.7.)
3. Execute CIS LED Level and CIS Black
Level tests on Sec. 9.3.6. to check the
CIS condition.
4. Check the connection to CN521 and
CN523 on RELAY (Back) Board from CIS
(Back).
5. Replace faulty cables.
6. Replace the CIS (Back).
1. Restart the scanner to check whether the
same error message indicates.
2. Execute CIS LED Level and CIS Black
Level tests on Sec. 9.3.6. to check the
CIS condition.
3. Check the connection to CN1002 and
CN1003 on CONTROL Board from CN524
on RELAY (BACK) Board.
4. Check the RELAY(BACK) Board.

5. Replace faulty cables.
6. Replace the RELAY (BACK) Board.
7. Replace the CONTROL Board.
