    4.5 Installing DIMM Module TOP PREVIOUS NEXT Insert the DIMM module into the connector on the SCSI interface board at an angle [ Place ( 1 ) ]. Push in the module as far as it goes. The levers should lock automatically. If not, push the levers tolock the module in [Place ( 2 ) ].

Confirm that the SCSI board plate is fully inserted until it firmly locks in place. 2) Secure the SCSI Board with the 2 screws. 3) Install the scanner driver software in your computer according to the enclosed manuals.

  • Page 34 6.1 Paper Feed Mechanism TOP PREVIOUS NEXT 1. When PC outputs the scanning-start command, the Hopper lifts until the paper contacts the Paper Feed Roller. 2. The Conveyor Motor is transferred to the rotation of the Conveyor Rollers, Drive Rollers and Exit Roller. 3.

Lower Sensor Roller: 1. Attach the roller by placing the gear side to the left side of the scanner and inserting both sides bearings into the guide grooves. Note: After attaching, press down on top of the Sensor Roller with your finger to confirm if it moves or not.

  • Page 52 4. Open the optional Roller Exchange Kit (KV-SS009), and take out the Paper Feed Roller Module. 5. Install the new Paper Feed Roller Module with the gear on the left side and the bearings into the guide grooves of the side chassis in the scanner [(1)].
  • Page 53 7. Pull and open the Conveyor(Lower) towards you by using the indent on the right side. Note: When the Conveyor is pulled towards you, the rocking mechanism will be release. When opening the Conveyor, be careful not to get your finger stuck in the indent.
  • Page 54 Note: When the conveyor is closed, the click-stop mechanism will operate. If the Conveyor is not closed correctly and operation in step 12 as is done, the Conveyor may break. 12. Close the Front Door. Note 1: Push both sides of the Front Door down slowly until it clicks into place. Note 2: After replacing rollers, clear Replace Roller Warning on Other Setting Mode as shown in Section 9.
