This section describes how to:
• Install Ethernet support.
• Install modem support.
To install Ethernet support
If you have installed Windows 95 and your HP Notebook contains a built-in 3Com
10/100 Mini PCI Ethernet Adapter, you need to install the LAN drivers. The LAN drivers
are contained in the \HP\DRIVERS\W95\LAN subdirectory.
1. Make sure that the 3Com network adapter is connected to the network.
2. Open the Device Manager: Right-click on My Computer and select Properties, and
3. Remove "PCI Ethernet driver" in "Other Devices."
4. Restart the computer. Windows will detect the PCI Ethernet Controller.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Other Locations.
7. Enter the directory of the driver on the CD at \HP\Drivers\95\LAN. Note: Type in
