Notes on adjusting the settings
We recommend you use a CD that you are familiar with for making changes to
the settings.
Before adjusting the equalizer, set the sound settings and sound distribution
settings to zero. For further details, refer to the section entitled " A djusting the
sound and sound distribution" .
1 Listen to the CD.
2 Now refer to the " S ound impression / problem" column in the table entitled
" H elp adjusting the equalizer" .
3 Adjust the equalizer values as described in the " M easures" column.
Help adjusting the equalizer
Start by adjusting the treble and mid levels and finish by setting the bass levels.
Sound Impression / problem
Bass sound is too weak
Dirty bass
Booming sound
Unpleasant pressure
Sound very much in the foreground,
aggressive, no stereo effect
Dull sound
Little clarity
No brilliance to the instruments

Measures
Boost the bass with
Frequency: 50 to 100 Hz
Gain: +4 to +6
Reduce the lower mid level with
Frequency: 125 to 400 Hz
Gain: approx. -4
Reduce the mid level with
Frequency: 1000 to 2500 Hz
Gain: -4 to -6
Boost the treble level with
Frequency: 8000 to 12500 Hz
Gain: +4 to +6
