Chapter 4. Installation
This chapter provides the installation procedure of the Switch, and it
contains the following items:

Pre-installation requirements

Mounting the switch
4-1 Pre-Installation Requirements
Before you start hardware installation, make sure your
installation environment has below items:
n
PCs with 10/100Mbps Ethernet cards: Your PC must have a
standard Ethernet interface to connect to the switch.
n
A power outlet: 100 to 240V AC at 50 to 60 Hz. Make sure
that the switch power is accessible and cables can be connected
easily.
n
A dry cool place: Keep the switch away from moisture. Avoid
direct sunlight, heat source, and high amount of electromagnetic
interference around.
n
Mounting tools: If you intend to mount the switch on a rack,
make sure you have all the tools, mounting brackets, screws,
bolts and nuts.
