Run the Setup Utility and check the Boot parameter
settings to verify that the initial boot parameter is set for
hard drive C and not for a diskette drive.
System performance appears sluggish
Check that your system is set for optimal operation. See
your operating system documentation.
Check the memory requirements of your software
applications. If required, install additional SIMM
memory.
If you added optional memory, check that you correctly
installed the SIMM memory.
System did not recognize additional SIMM memory
You added only one SIMM stick. SIMMs must be added
in pairs. Add a second SIMM of the same type.
System password forgotten
Clear the password and reset it. See "Clearing Your
Password" in Chapter 6.
