Layout Ejector lever Figure 1. Layout Note: The ejector lever can be placed in two positions, locked and unlocked. When inserting a PC Card, the lever can be in either position. However, the lever must be in the unlocked position to eject a PC Card.
Turn OFF the power to your computer. Unplug the power cord and remove your computer's cover. Remove the slot bracket from an available PCI slot. Carefully align the card to the selected PCI slot push the board down firmly, but gently, until it is well seated.

Inserting/Removing the PC Cards Inserting the PC Card: There's only one way the PC Card can be inserted into the slot. Do not try to force it in if you meet some resistance. In most systems, the PC Card should be inserted with the label facing down towards the bottom of your system.
