Overheating protection/pan
protection
Each cooking zone is equipped with
overheating protection (internal
temperature limiter).
The ExtraSpeed cooking zone is also
equipped with a pan protection
mechanism. If you wish to use this
function, you will need to alter the
factory setting (see "Programming").
If the overheating protection has
switched on, the heating element
switches on and off even when the
highest power level is selected.
If pan protection has been activated,
the heating element for the cooking
zone switches off. will flash alternately
with on the ExtraSpeed cooking
zone's numerical display.
The overheating protection and the pan
protection switch on in the following
situations:
- No cookware is present on the
activated cooking zone.
- The cookware being heated is empty.
- The base of the cookware is not
sitting evenly on the cooking zone.
- The cookware is not conducting heat
properly.
You can tell that the overheating
protection has activated because the
heating element switches on and off
even when the highest power level is
selected.
