LCD Screen Remains Blank and Alarm Continuously Sounds
Reason
LCD board is malfunctioning.
LCD Screen Reports a Failure Status
Temperature Status is HOT
Reason
Main cooling fan failed.
Front or back of system does not have proper
clearance.
Fan inside power supply failed.
Room temperature is too warm.
Voltage Status is FAIL
Reason
+3.3V, +5Unsw, +5.0V, -5.0V, +12.0V,
-12.0V voltage rails are out of tolerance. A
power supply is failing.
Solution
The system will boot, but the LCD screen
will not display information and the alarm
continues to sound. Replace the LCD board.
Solution
Verify which fan reports BAD in the Fan
Status. Replace the failed fan.
Remove obstructions or reposition the system
to allow adequate airflow. Deskside systems
require 12 inches front, and 8 inches back.
Verify the power supply fan status in Power
Supply Status. Power off the system and
replace the power supply containing the
failed fan.
Lower room temperature or move system to
cooler room.
Solution
Verify the failed power supply in Power
Supply Status. If the fans in the power
supply are still running, leave the power
supply in the system. If the fans have also
failed, power off the system and replace the
power supply.
