Processor Retest
The system's BIOS has been seen to misinterpret the number of processors in the system. If the
BIOS loses track of the number of processors in the system, it may report a smaller number of
processors than what exists. If this occurs, run a processor retest in the BIOS:
1.
Start the system, and during the boot sequence press
2.
Go to the
SERVER
3.
Press the space bar to change the option to Yes.
4.
Press
10 to save the change and exit from the BIOS.

Operating System Support for USB Peripherals
Your system includes a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port to which you can connect USB
peripherals. Windows NT 4.0 does not currently support USB peripherals. Microsoft will add
support for USB peripherals to a future Windows NT release.
Documentation Errata
On page 13, Figure 3, the front panel LEDs (top to bottom) should be listed as power,
sleep/service, disk drive activity, power supply failure, and fan failure.
On page 87, Figure 25, the six PCI slots (top to bottom) should be listed as B4, B3, B2, B1, A3,
and A2.
Software
Installing Intel Server Control (ISC) Software
Intel Server Control (ISC) is the InterServe 9000 onboard instrumentation software, which must be
installed to view instrumentation data. Before running ISC, you must install Internet Explorer 4.01
(or later); you can get this from the Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack CD delivered with your system.

Rebuilding System Software with SYSBUILDER and the System CD
If your system was delivered with a
rebuild system software. Follow the instructions provided with the System CD to reinstall the
operating system and associated system software. The System CD's instructions replace the
operating system installation instructions in your system's documentation.
