Changing the Size of the Subject (Zoom)
By pressing the zoom button, you can vary the size of the
subject without changing the distance between yourself and
the subject (equivalent to 38-76mm in 35mm camera format).

The zoom indication bar will be displayed on the LCD
monitor. Adjust the subject to the desired size.
Changing the PIC (Image Quality) Mode
The camera offers six image quality modes: 1600F, 1600N,
1600E, 1600NC, 1280N and 640N. Select the mode to suit
your purpose.
• The default setting is 1600N.
• NC (non-compressed) mode is for recording data without
compressing it.

Press the PIC button.
The PIC (image quality) mode changes each time the
button is pressed.
When the PIC mode is set, the mode is saved when the
camera is turned off.
