• You can also use headphones
available on the market with
this camera (stereo mini-jack
ø3.5mm).
• When the rechargeable
battery (DB-40) is fully
charged, continuous
playback time is about 120
minutes. The time may vary
depending on the
environment in which the
camera is used.

This function enables you to use the camera as an MP3 player
for playing music data.
* MP3 stands for MPEG-1 AudioLayer3 and is an international
sound compression standard. Data can be compressed into
approx. one-tenth of the original volume.
Note
• By uploading MP3 files from the PC to the camera using RICOH
Gate, you can play MP3 files on the camera.
Refer to "RICOH Gate for Windows", "RICOH Gate for
Macintosh" manual on the supplied CD-ROM.
Important
• The bit rate that can be played back on this camera is 96kbps.
• The data with variable bit rate cannot be played back.
• The sampling rate is 44.1KHz.
• Music data cannot be played through the speaker on the camera.
Use the stereo earphones (commercially available).
• If the SD memory card contains unplayable music data, the track in
question will be omitted when the music data is played.
• Use a PC to delete unplayable music data.
