• Microsoft SQL 2005 writer for Microsoft SQL Server 2005
With the SharePoint Services writer you can back up and restore:
• the configuration database
• the central administration content database
• other content databases
• shared services provider databases
• search databases
• index files.
Backup types
The SharePoint Services writer supports the following Microsoft Office SharePoint
Server 2007 backup type:
• Full (for databases and index files)
Limitations
• Multi-server SharePoint configurations (farms) are not supported.
Prerequisites
• The SharePoint Services writer and SQL writer are not started by default. Ensure
that both writers are properly installed and registered. The SharePoint Services
writer must be registered using the SharePoint command line administration tool:
stsadm -o

Prerequisites and limitations

This is a list of prerequisites and limitations for the Data Protector Microsoft Volume
