This is the number of devices used to back up a particular database or a server.
Can be specified by the user or calculated automatically.
NOTE:
SQL Server cannot back up multiple streams to one device.
Figure 3 on page 30 shows a session in which each SQL Server database is backed
up using a different number of concurrent streams.
