LOCKING
FEATURE
1-o disable the usage of the VCR, or to protect your timer recordings,
you can lock the VCR so that the buttons on the VCR or remote won't
work.
I-oLock: Press and hold the remote's
ON • OFF button.
LOCK
appears in the display when the feature is activated.
LOCK appears
if you attempt to turn on the VCR while the feature is on.
1-o unlock
the feature and turn on the VCR: Press and hold either
the remote's
ON-OFF,
VCR1, or VCR2 button (whichever
VCR
button your VCR is set to respond to).
TRACKING
Your VCR has automatic
tracking
which
removes the streaks or noise
From the picture.
Automatic
tracking
is activated
when you insert a
tape or turn on the VCR. Occasionally
you may need to manually
adjust tracking,
especially
if the tape was recorded
on a different
VCR.
Use the TRACKING
buttons to remove the streaks or noise. You can
also use tracking
when you PAUSE a tape to reduce jittering
of the
picture.
When you manually
adjust the picture,
automatic
tracking
is turned
off. ]o turn automatic
tracking
back on, eject the tape and reinsert it.
1-racking has no effect during
recording--only
playback.
LockingYour
VCR:
If a timer
recording
is programmed,
make sure yourVCR
is turned
off.
Locking your VCR prevents
the VCR
from being
accidentally
turned
on.
