Turn on your TV and turn it to chmmel 3 or 4.

Turn on the VCR by pressing the POWER button.

Check to see if the "VCR" light on the front panel c[isplay is
lit. If it is not lit, press the VCR/TV button until it is lit.
You are viewing
the picture from your VCR!
With this set-up, you will use the VCR_I_ r button when recording,
when viewing
tapes or broadcast stations
through your VCR, or
before using the VCR's menus.
You also use the VCR/TV button
to switch back to normal TV viewing.
Viewing thepicture coming from yourVCRif youare using a
monitor TV

Turn on your TV and switch it to the correct external
input.
(For most Mitsubishi
TVs, this means pressing the TV's
INPUT
button
until you see the words _Ext-l"
on the screen.)

Turn the VCR on by pressing
the PO_ER
button.
You are viewing
the picture
from your VCR!
If you wish to return
to normal
TV viewing,
switch your TV_s
input back to its previous
position.
If your system includes
a home theater
receiver
or an A/V re-
ceiver, you need to refer to your home theater
receiver's
owner's
guide.
t Loading and UnloadingTapes
This section
explains
loading and unloading
tapes.
[_Important:
Incorrect
Tapes can be loaded into your VCR as long as the VCR is plugged
in. Even when the VCR POWER is off, loading
a tape will auto-
matically
turn the VCR on. Use only tape._: that have a_
label.
Loadinga tape

Hold the tape so that the long narrow
edge with the contents
label faces towards
you. The other edge is hinged
and should
face towards
the VCR. The plastic
window that shows the
videotape
should face up.

Gently
insert
the tape into the cassett_
slot until the VCR
automatically
takes it in.
