t Making aCopyofa Tape
There are two basic ways to make a copy of a tape. One way is to
use the HS-U260
to play a tape and use azmther VCR t_ record.
The other way is to use another
VCR to play a tape and. the
HS-U260
to record.
Whichever
method
you choose, you will need one RCA audio and
one RCA video cable to connect the two VCRs. If you do not have
these cables, they are available
at your local electronics
retailer.

to play back tc another
VCR.

Connect one RCA audio cable to the
AUDIO OUTPUT
terminal
on the other
VCR. Connect
the other end of this cable
to the AUDIO INPUT
terminal
on the
HS-U260
(labeled AUDIO IN).
Connect
a video cable to the VIDEO
OUTPUT
terminal
on the playback
VCR.
Connect
the other end of this cable to the
VIDEO INPUT
terminal
on the HS-U260
(labeled
VIDEO IN).
Use the INPUT
button
to set the HS-U260
to external
L1 or external
L2. Select
external
L1 when you hooked up the other
VCR to the rear panel terminals
of the
HS-U260;
select external
L2 when you
used the front terminals
of the HS-U260.
The front panel
fluorescent
display will
tell you which input you have selected by
showing
a channel
number,
"L1, _ or "L2."

Put a blank tape :[n_ the HS-U2,60 and
find the place where you want to begin
recording.
Press STOP.
Put the tape you w_mt to copy into the
other VCR and find the place from which
you want to begin copying. Press
STOP.
On the HS-U260,
press record (REC or
REC,/OTR), and the_ PAUSE.
On the other VCR, press PLAY and then
PAUSE.
Release
the PAUSE
button on both VCRs
at the same time.
Press
STOP on both VCRs when you are
finis:bed.
