You can use the time counter
to search to a specific point on a
tape.

Press the MENU button
on the remote
control to display the
"VCR Main Menu."

Press the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
on th_ remote
control to
move the cursor
next to "Search by time." Press the ENTER
button on the remote
control.
DImportant:
If there is no tape loaded in the VCR, or if the VCR is recording,
then the words "]qot available"
will flash. ]Load a tape into the
VCR or stop recording.

You will see the "Search by time" menu. Press the JOG/
ADJUST
buttons
to set the point on tl_e tape to which you
want to search,
in hours and minutes.
Hold down the JOG/
ADJUST
buttons
to set the hour and v_inutes
in 10--minute
intervals.
Press the JOG/ADJUST
button
repeatedly
to set
single minutes.
You can also use the namber
buttons
to set
the time in hours,
min',,tes,
and seconds. To clear the time you
have entered,
press CANCEL.

Press the ENTER
button.
(If you used the number
buttons
to
set the time, you do not need to press the ENTER
button.)
The VCR will fast forward
or rewind to the point you select
and begin playing
the _mpe.
Press the STOP or PLAY button
to ca_:cel time search.

If the VCR reaches
the end of the tape before finding the point
you've chosen, the search
is canceled

The tape may not search
to the exact point you have chosen.
Searching f ora blankportionoftape
Use "Search to blank"
to find any blank poction of a tape.
Press the MENU button
on the remote
control to di,_play the
"VCR Main Menu."
Use the JOG!ADJUST
buttons
on the remote control to move
the cursor next to "Search
to blank."
Press ENTER.
The VCR will fast tbrward and stop at the first blank (unre-
corded) section of tape. If the VCR reaches
the end of the tape, the
search is canceled.
[>Important:
If there is no tape loaded in the VCR, or if'_he VCR is recording,
the words "Not available"
will flash. Load a tape into the VCR or
stop recording.
