closed
captioning

display
any captions
on the screen,

mind that not all broadcasters,
video tapes, or laserdiscs
supply
closed caption
signals.

a tape or
laser disc on a VCR or Laser Disc player
that
cannot decode closed
caption
signals;
if you are playing
a video tape that is worn or
deteriorated;
or if you are switching
from STILL mode er SEARCH
mode to PLAY mode on a Laser Disc player
that cannot
decode
closed captioned
signals
