PPLICATIONS
Extron's MVP 104 is a multi video processor that allows a user to display up
to four video signals simultaneously on a single screen. The MVP 104 is
compatible with NTSC or PAL signals and offers composite and S-video
outputs. Each video window may be independently scaled, positioned, blanked
and prioritized for overlapping. For videoconferencing and distance learning
applications, the MVP 104 allows participants at the far end to view multiple
images on one screen. These images are routed from sources such as document
cameras, CODEC cameras, VCRs, or DVD players. For images with audio,
the MVP 104 features a four input, one output stereo audio switcher for
activating audio associated with any video input. The MVP 104 provides three
multi-video outputs available simultaneously as two composite video outputs
on BNC connectors and one S-video output on a 4-pin mini-DIN connector.
Each window may be positioned adjacent to each other or overlapped for PIP
(Picture In Picture) images. Horizontal and vertical sizing, positioning, and
blanking controls are provided for each source. A background color may be
chosen to fill any unoccupied area. The windows may be labeled using up to
16 alphanumeric characters for on-screen identification. The MVP 104
features 20 factory and 24 user memories for saving windowing configurations,
including horizontal & vertical sizing, positioning, blanking, and priority
settings.
The MVP 104 features Extron's exclusive variable horizontal and vertical
blanking for each window. During scaling, captioning and tapehead switching
in the video's blanking area show up as picture noise. Using vertical blanking,
a user may add black lines at the top and bottom of the window to eliminate
edge noise. The MVP 104 also offers horizontal blanking on the left and right
edges of each window.

EATURES
Inputs – Accepts up to four NTSC or PAL video inputs. Two inputs are
configurable as composite video or S-video, and two inputs are composite
video only.
Multi-video outputs – Three multi-video outputs provided
simultaneously: two composite video outputs on BNCs and one S-video
output on a 4-pin mini-DIN connector.
Picture controls – Provides horizontal & vertical sizing, positioning, and
blanking controls for each window.
Freeze control – Includes freeze function to freeze individual windows of
the multi-image output. Freezing all windows simultaneously is available
through RS-232.
Factory/user preset configurations – Features 20 factory and 24 user
memories for one, two, three, or four window display outputs.
Configurations include horizontal and vertical sizing, positioning,
blanking, and priority settings for each window.
Blanking control – Extron's exclusive variable horizontal and vertical

Audio switching – Features 4x1 audio switcher with 3.5 mm captive
screw terminal for selecting the desired audio of any video input.
RS-232/422 remote control – Extron's Simple Instruction Set™ is
provided for RS-232 control via third-party control or Extron's
Windows®-based control program.
Executive mode – Locks out front panel adjustments; all functions,
however, remain active through RS-232.
Power supply – Includes a 100-240VAC, 50/60 Hz, auto-switchable
internal power supply.
Rack-mountable – Housed in a 2U, one rack width, metal enclosure.
